Christ & Holy Trinity Church takes great pleasure in its ministry of music. Five vocal choirs offer music education, enrichment and expression to children and adults—over 100 participants and growing. All are welcome to participate! Auditions are not required for membership; however, regular attendance at rehearsals and services is expected. The musical and collegial growth of each ensemble depends on the commitment of individual members and their families. The choirs regularly enhance our liturgies at 9:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and on special occasions. Chorister Crosses and Ribbons
C&HT’s music ministry enthusiastically invites children, youth and adults to participate in the upcoming choral season. Information about our choral ensembles for you and your family follows: Joyful Noyze• a vocal choir for children in the 4's class, kindergarten and first grade• rehearses Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 4:00-4:30 p.m. (limit: 15 each) • sings third Sundays at 9:15 Elementary Choristers• a vocal choir for children in grades 2-5• rehearses Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00 p.m. and/or Thursdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m. • sings second and fourth Sundays at 9:15 Middle Choristers• a vocal choir for children in grades 6-8• rehearses Tuesdays, 5:00-6:00 p.m. and/or Wednesdays, 6:15-7:15 p.m. • sings first Sundays at 11:15; fourth Sundays at 9:15 Senior Choristers• a vocal choir for high school youth in grades 9-12• rehearses Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m. • sings first and second Sundays at 11:15; third Sundays at 9:15 Parish Choir• a vocal choir for adults Choir Registration FormYes! Our young choristers wear rosewood crosses with various colored ribbons to designate the number of years they have served Christ & Holy Trinity Church in choir. Starters, those new to the program, wear white ribbons; those who have completed one year wear pink ribbons; two years, yellow ribbons; three years, green ribbons; four years, blue ribbons; five years, orange ribbons; six years, purple ribbons; seven years, red ribbons; eight years, royal blue ribbons; nine years, silver cords; and ten years or more, gold cords. We strongly encourage our children to “sing” their way through the colors!
