Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is the heart and soul of a Christian congregation, the response we offer to the question:
When was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or saw you sick and visited you?
Men and women members of the Pastoral Care Team assist our clergy in a wide-range of pastoral responsibilities with and to members of the congregation. As visitors to parishioner’s homes, nursing homes, and hospitals, members offer a sure presence and the presence of Christ to others in time of need.

Specific Ministries of this team include:

* Weekly and seasonal (Christmas and Easter) flower delivery from the altar
* Prayer list coordination
* Norwalk Hospital visitation three times weekly
* Wednesday Lunch Group meets periodically. A luncheon and informative speaker are featured in the Parish Hall, immediately following the weekly noon Healing Liturgy in the Chapel.
* The Cookie Exchange in December involves making and delivering treats to those who are homebound.
* The Prayer Shawl Ministry, and those interested in convening for crochet and knitting, meet in the Brandon Room every third Saturday of the month from 10 to noon.
